What does it mean when you make Indigenous Tunes your publisher?

When you make us your publisher, you are appointing Indigenous Tunes to take care of the business and administration side of your music, while you focus on creating.

Here’s what that means:

  • Ownership:
    You still own your music – we only get the non-exclusive right to manage and monetize it for you.
  • Administration & Distribution:
    We register your songs with rights organizations (SAMRO, CAPASSO, RISA, SAMPRA), distribute your music worldwide, and make sure you get paid.
  • Royalties:
    You earn the majority of income from your songs:

         - 67% from distribution, mechanical rights, and performance rights

         - 50% from needletime rights

         - We retain a small share (33% or 50% depending on the right) for administration.
